Each month, one of the Blue Boar Pub’s team members will create a signature Old Fashioned inspired by their travels, memories and favourite flavour combinations. The limited-edition serves are designed to celebrate creativity behind the bar while giving guests something new to discover each month. 

Barrel Aged Old Fashioned N°1

Created by Matteo, the Barrel Aged Old Fashioned N°1 launches just in time for  World Whisky Day, Saturday 16 May, and is available until 15 June

Created with Angel’s Envy Bourbon, lemongrass syrup, ginger and honey, finished with a vanilla bitters spray. A rich and rounded take on the classic Old Fashioned, where smooth, port-finished bourbon is lifted by fresh citrus notes of lemongrass, balanced spice from ginger and delicate honeyed sweetness, finished with a warm vanilla aroma on the nose.

Our whisky masterclasses offer a deeper insight into the world of whisky through guided tastings led by our in-house experts.

 Whisky Masterclass Experience – £75 per person

Enjoy a guided tasting of five whiskies, all aged under 12 years, selected from our extensive menu. This immersive session explores aroma, flavour, distillation methods and your personal palate, with engaging blind tastings and group discussions throughout.

 Premium Whisky Selection Masterclass Experience – £150 per person

Explore the depth and character of five premium whiskies aged between 12 and 18 years. This refined experience highlights the craftsmanship behind mid-aged expressions and is ideal for those looking to enhance their palate and discover unique regional styles and cask influences.

 Once-in-a-Lifetime Whisky Masterclass Experience – £500 per person

An exclusive tasting featuring five extraordinary Macallan expressions, including the rare Macallan M Decanter 2003. This luxurious journey through time, craft and excellence is designed for true whisky aficionados. The experience includes pours from:
